S10E1: The eagle has landed, I repeat, the eagle has landed (7-31-23)

I have a daughter!

Cháo Chedder Chicas!
The Phrase of the week is "The eagle has landed, I repeat, the eagle has landed" Meaning the greenie has arrived!
Transfers have rolled and I am staying in the area and training! I am so excited to be with Sister Pannell!
I have learned so many things from her and she is so ready to go out and serve.
Yesterday, Sister Pannell and I were talking about training. I mentioned how usually are suppose to do training everyday for 30-60 minutes. Apologizing for not having time to train. She said if anyday would be acceptable not to do training it would be Sunday. Why? Because we are out and serving among people. That's what Jesus did.
It blow my mind 🤯
We also had a lesson with Celia Montgomery (not my great aunt) for the first time! She said she been meaning to get back to church and we gave her a book of mormon!
We then went to a building so we could have service and send out texts to people we are teaching and the guy I started a conversation with talked about movies for one and half hours. He was actually a really nice guy but I thought it was a nice introduction for Sister Pennell for how the day usually goes. You plan on doing one thing for 30 minute and three hours later you pass out a book of mormon and talk to a random stranger about their favorite show about demons and angels.
We also had an amazing lesson with a member family ❤️❤️ We definitely could feel the spirit. We told the three little boys that Jesus broke the bands of death that he was like "wazah!" *did a karate chop* and all the boys eyes went really wide and they were definitely focused. Then one of little boys started doing karate chops.
I freaking love the being an missionary
I got to be in the best trio ever while we waited for Sister Pennell to get here. It was Sister Guddat, an Idahoen Stand up comedian that wants to join the army; Sister Lee, a Korean who is likes cheesecake and wheres only black and white; Me, a gluten-free Carolinian who has dyslexia. It was a power trio. 🔋
My mom has been praying for our miles to last so we can drive and not bike in this heat. It's working! Miracles! We have 100 miles to spare! Don't tell the APs.
If you all want to send me any training ideas let me know and definitely prayers.
Jesus loves you,
Sister Martin
