S9W1: "Sir, I am mormon." (6-26-23)

 Hey lovelies!

This week has been great! I feel like I have grown closer to Sister Giordano and the Lord. One day we kept knocking and knocking. It was hot and I was HUNGRY. We were on our way to the car and I felt prompted to knock. Sister Giordano turned and we just nodded πŸ˜‚ We both got the same prompting. Gosh darn it Holy Ghost.
Later that day we were able to follow prompting to find this Father, Scott. Scott was troubled that his son is going to hell.
I am not talking about an hateful "Yeah, he is going to hell." But where he is crying and trying to hold it back. His daughter left 3 months ago without saying anything and he is so concerned for his family.
His son recently started taking missionaries lessons (some Elders are teaching the son in our area without telling us 🀨). Scott accepted all our answers but was too worried about going away from the bible. "Don't you guys believe the God used to be a man?" He kept insisting that "Mormons" believed things that we didn't. "Sir! I am mormon!"
He was very good nature about that πŸ˜‚ and said I had a good point. His questions boiled down to: How can I tell if something is true? He was not sure if he had enough faith or knowledge to recognize if something was from Christ. It's a good question. Can you recognize if something is true?
That seems to be a theme of this week.
Another theme of this week is exact obedience. Another another them of this week is to look to Christ
"Think of me, thou ransomed one; Think what I for thee have done. With my blood that dripped like rain, Sweat in agony of pain, With my body on the tree I have ransomed even thee.
-Reverently and Meekly Now
There is truth. There is an absolute truth. One of the names of Christ is truth. I know that Jesus Christ is the true way to true happiness and joy.
P.S we prayed we could talk to people at the store about gospel and we had two people talking to us πŸ˜†
